Eugenie also shared a slideshow of Beatrice and Edo's official engagement portraits-photos she had taken herself.

The palace released a statement on Friday reading, "The wedding of HRH Princess Beatrice of York and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi will take place on Friday 29 May 2020".

The father of the bride quit public royal duties in November amid an outcry over his friendship with the convicted US sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who died in August.

A source has confirmed the princess will have a "low-key" special day, which is what the royal couple wanted from the get-go.

Princess Beatrice announced her engagement in September 2019, after the couple had been dating for a year. When Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank Wednesday in October 2018, the ceremony was broadcast live on ITV.

Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's wedding date has been revealed.

Princess Eugenie is "very proud" of her sister Princess Beatrice, after further details of her upcoming wedding were announced.

The last time a wedding reception was held inside Buckingham Palace was when Prince William and Kate Middleton exchanged vows in 2011.

Prince Andrew will walk Princess Beatrice down the aisle.

Prince Andrew demanded Eugenie be given a marriage equivalent in splendor to that of Harry and Meghan, and Eugenie used to be duly wedded to her bartender boyfriend, Jack Brooksbank, on the similar church as Harry and Meghan, St. George's Chapel in Windsor.

Many royal weddings have taken place in the Chapel, including that of Queen Victoria to Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg on 10 February 1840.

Will Princess Beatrice's wedding bring the royals together?

Well-wishers have been asked to forego gifts and instead find out more about the work of Big Change, founded by Beatrice and six friends to transform education, and Cricket Builds Hope, a British-Rwandan charity using cricket as a tool for social change that was co-founded by her husband-to-be.

In October, it was reported that Beatrice had declined a carriage ride, procession and Windsor castle reception for her wedding.

"I don't think Beatrice ever wanted the huge Royal Wedding that her sister had", she said.

"We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to actually be married".
